Hi there and thankyou for visiting Space to talk Counselling based in sunny Northumberland. I am Michelle Robinson and I am passionate about helping people overcome life's challenges, assist them in recognising their innate strengths and collaboratively work towards achieving mental well-being, balance and benefit from their time in the counselling chair.
My experience has seen me working within the NHS, Charity sector as well as offer grief counselling to children in hospice setting and with young people in school settings and private practice. I am experienced in working with attachment, self-esteem and self-image issues, depression, anxiety, grief, self-harm, and relationship issues and I value and respect diversity in our communities.
As a professional person-centred counsellor I offer a safe, non-judgmental and supportive space for you to explore what you are going through, find coping strategies, work through feelings, and find understanding. This can involve using creative materials and methods or pure talking therapy. From my own experience, I know how crucial it can be to feel heard and truly understood and how healing it can be to work through personal issues with a professional.
Whether you are feeling isolated, going through a stressful situation, finding it hard to manage and are overwhelmed by change or trying to live with past trauma talking to a trained counsellor can help.
Qualified in 2010 I am based in Morpeth, Northumberland and offer face to face, telephone and remote sessions. If you are looking for short-term exploration, regular long-term support, or just want to check in with how you feel about your life, I could be the right counsellor for you.
Our experience enables us to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care. We treat a number of mental health difficulties, and provide a safe space to adults and children.
Our focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
We promise to be there for you every step of your journey. Our goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
You will be warmly welcomed to your 50 minute session. During your first session you will be asked to complete the registration process. Then your therapist will give you the space to begin exploring issues which have brought you to the counselling chair.
Having specialised in bereavement support Michelle will be starting a Grief Support Group post-Covid. If you are interested in attending please let us know.
Space to talk Counselling is a service open to men and women of all ages and backgrounds. Michelle is experienced working with clients from age 4 upwards. At Space to talk we believe everyone can benefit from time in the counselling chair.
